More about Zachaeus...

Zachaeus Willis comes from a small town called Great Dunmow. He prefers to go by Zach, because nobody can normally pronounce it correctly. Spell check also seems to have a vendetta against the word as well.

Zach's Manifesto

"My mission on this earth is to impact as many people as possible with the work I create. My grandmother would say ‘You can judge success by how many people turn up to your funeral.’ and I couldn’t agree more.

I believe that Film and TV has the power to change a person’s life. A sit-com can give people stability when they have none and a romance can make people hold out for love when they might have lost faith in it. Sometimes a joke can be the difference between someone taking their life, as comedy can be a way of coping with some of the darkest parts of life.

Throughout my life I have struggled with allot of learning difficulties and have been diagnosed with celiac disease. This has brought me allot of struggles to overcome and has on many occasions has made me feel different.  Film and TV however, has allowed me to somehow feel accepted with projects such as ‘Percy Jaxon’ showing a positive representation of these issues. This has allowing me to feel less alone in managing these things and has allowed me to see my differences as strengths and opportunities for innovation rather than weaknesses.

I hope that one day I can impact people in a similar way. If I can create a saving escapism for someone who needs it or makes another human being feel seen, that will be success.

I stand for all the people who are different.

I stand for the people who become brave in the face of embarrassment and are proud to be themselves.

But most importantly I stand to hopefully make a difference to just one more person’s life every day…

Then I will be truly happy."
